Why I admire Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama
Just look at what this man has been through – from his astonishing childhood to his exile – and he still manages to remain faithful to his people. Ever since I read it, Seven Years In Tibet has been one of my favorite stories. I’d also like to meet Heinrich Harrer, but he is sadly no longer with us :-( I pray that Tibet will one day gain independence in the future, hopefully before the current Dalai Lama leaves us. I realize, however, there is virtually no chance of that happening so soon. Until then, Tenzin Gyatso and the Tibetan people remain in my prayers.
